I love old architecture, they just don't build things that way anymore. We have an Akron Savings and Loan Bank building here where the name of the bank is engraved into the stone on the building. They meant things to last forever, now...it's how fast can you get it up and for how much. But, on the other hand, there is often something very alluring to the contemporary and simple lines to newer buildings too.
You are definitely lucky to have such a fantastic selection of old architecture too, the US is still very young compared to the world, and someday I plan to take a trip around Europe to see both the natural countryside as well as photograph the wonderful architecture wherever I go. Your photos that you've been uploading are awesome, by the way!
but you have a hugh land mass to expore i hope one day to search its wide lands for photos.
